What does it mean when a platonic male friend tells you...?

... out of nowhere: "You did nothing wrong, but I no longer get along with you"? (It's been a couple of months since he said that. I did nothing to bring this on, and I'm still puzzled as to why he would do this). Is this a man's way of saying "Piss off; you're not needed anymore"?
