Unfettered capitalism.....will it be the downfall of america?

I am in no way saying communism is right. It seems with American business society too much emphasis is placed on net operating incomes and increased marginal utility rather then the true economic value of various things. Our GDP will soon be surped by japan, which has a similar business structure yet they themselves fetter malicious transactions based upon societal values. Most people blame opec for increased gas prices yet the real cause is china using american pernicious capitalism. I believe america needs to change the way it does business or else this will be the downfall of the country not attacks by terrorism or nuclear holocaust from russia.
