Question on slow cooker meals?

I have a slow cooker and I have used it to make mince dishes such as bolognaise etc while I am at work and things like that generally work out fine but if I do say chicken in sauce the chicken turns out really dry and horrible even though theres lots of liquid in there. I cook on 'low' and am generally out of the house for about 9 or 10 hours - I keep reading about people who come home to tasty meals when mine mostly just turn out dry - help! I used to play pretty much only acoustic guitar but the past few months I haven't really played it at all and have just been playing electric. One year after LASIK, left eye is bright and clear, right is dull like someone turned down the brightness.why?

HOA lawsuit question?

This may seem like a bitter or stupid question to most but basically I wrote an email to my HOA and complained how security recently is out if control. They're abusing their power and being rude to the residents. Upon receiving a reply from a high ranking member VIA email about the issue saying we will take this serious and look into it asap. Upon fully examining the email I noticed it was firwarded frim another HOA employee and she forwarded the message to him "this one like fun" basically meaning this guy sounds like a whiny bitchy resident have fun with his complaint eric. That's what I got out of it anyways. Can I sue the HOA or her directly for that comment which pissed me off? Isn't it slander or deformation or w/e its called. If not does it break any laws at it all or is it rude and get over it and leave it at that?

*Emergency* My insurance is canceled, can anyone help me?

After tons of online research, I am almost positive I have unstable angina, which is a medical emergency. Within the last month, I have been to two hospitals for bronchitis, only to find out my health insurance was canceled. I have hot tube problems?

Am I going insane, or is my roommate into me?!?

About eight months ago my roommate/very close friend was going through a very rough time, dealing past abuse. Nightmares and awful episodes of night terrors, I was there through thick & thin. If you are familiar with night terrors, you know how terrifying it can. Blood-curdling screams,intense fear, uncontrollable crying-- It got so bad I had to sleep in the same bed with her every night, or she couldn't sleep. Once she nearly broke her neck sleepwalking down the stairs. So naturally I was afraid for her own safety. Months later and she's been in therapy and has been doing immensely better. I still stay with her nearly every night. And the nightmares/terrors are rather scarce. So, here's the thing, over the past few months she’s become very attached to me. She is so utterly affectionate to the point where I am confused and not sure what the true nature of our relationship is. Lately every night she'll ask me to hold her & cuddle her more than we often do. I can't begin to count the amount of times we've woken up with our legs entwined, her face buried along the side of my neck. I am a girl and yes, gay. I don't mind at all doing any of these things for her. In fact I look forward to being there for her. Anyway it's sorta become habit, every night I rub her back or stomach, it helps her sleep. But last night she put her hand under my shirt running her hand and fingers against my stomach. She's never done that before. But I didn't bring it up or make a big thing out of it. The way she was touching me though just felt different in a sorta subtle way. Lately She's been kissing me on the lips very often…but the way she does it always leaves room for me to wonder. Is she hitting on me or is she just naive like that? When she hugs me it’s always full body, No matter where we are and she always lingers. I don’t know if this is normal for her. Sometimes I swear she knows exactly what she’s doing. Last night we both went out to a friends house party. Everyone was sitting in the living room talking and laughing. My roommate gets up from the couch, walks over to me in the middle of the room, full of people and wraps her arms around my waist. I am so comfortable and use to her I warped my arms around her, holding her. She said "I love you" leaned up and kissed me on the lips. But I am honestly not totally sure what this means? The way she said it and the way she looked makes me feel like she meant it not in a platonic way. The rest of the night she snuggled against me,her hand slipping under my shirt caressing my back, on and off. I do have very strong feelings for her. it's safe to say I'm very much in love. But I haven't come clean about my feelings. With the whole trauma she's been through I don't want to put any pressure on her.I just can't figure this girl out! A demon or entity is attacking me in my sleep paralysis. What does it want from me?

Here is the story. Years ago, roughly four or 5. I was living in a trailer in Alabama with my parents and my friend Darrell was staying with me because his family from Louisiana was staying at his house due to hurricane Katrina. This is when Darrell was 1st attacked. I was asleep and he was trying to fall asleep and all of a sudden felt like something was on top of him choking him. He couldnt breathe, yell, or move. He tried calling my name numerous times but could not get one word out. Finally he was able to make a noise and the entity released him. Well from that day on for the next four years this happened to him nearly every night, wether or not he was alone, it was day time, or night. He was being tormented on a daily basis. Well one night his dad lost it. His dad burnt down the house and shot himself, right before he did so he called Darrell and told him that it was all because of him. Now Darrell and his father always had a wonderful relationship. I have witnessed so many times with my very own eyes all these father son moments. They always told eachother they loved eachother in the best way. His dad was like another father to me. And this was never something I could see him doing. Either way, after that night the demon or entity never messed with Darrell again. But Darrell did see the demon a few times from across the room, just a dark figure standing there looking at him. He was afraid to sleep for those four years. He also had a few nightmares where the demon was controlling his father like a puppet master and laughing while his dad did all of that awful stuff. Well, I currently reside in Pennsylvania. I went down there for thanksgiving to visit all of my friends, and stayed at Darrells house. While I was there me and him talked about all of this. That night he went to sleep and I was still awake. Laying on the futon looking at the ceiling I suddenly became paralyzed. I was fully conscious and not sleeping, oh also I was sober. So I couldn't move, I suddenly felt something grab my ankles, one in each hand. The best way to describe the sensation I felt would be that it felt like my body was ripped out of my body. I was still laying on the futon but I was somehow being pulled around at full force by some source. It was slamming me around the room like a rag doll. This whole time I was trying to scream and could not make a single noise or move at all. At one point I felt myself being slammed into the area where the door was, I literally felt all of the flesh on the right side of my face being ripped clean off. The pain was so intense that I was finally able to break free and yell. Needless to say it didn't wake anybody up. I stayed up and refused to go to sleep. Well a couple days went by and I was back in Pennsylvania. I was able to make it through 1 day because of being so restless from flying and being up since early morning and just ped out when I came home. The next night I was repairing my neighbors computer and was upstairs in the dining room by myself until about 4 in the morning installing software and removing viruses. Now I seldom scare. I had this terrible feeling that something was watching me the whole time I was up there. Made the dogs come into the room with me and everything. Went to bed in the early morning just as the sun began to rise. The following night is when things got a little sticky. It was approximately 3 in the morning. I was laying in bed diagonally because I broke my leg while in Alabama and had to elevate it so I did so on a chair that was on the one side of my bed. Well I was watching TV and the TV usually illuminates my entire room with a little bit of light, not on this night. The tvs light stopped right above me and from me on all the way to the wall was pitch black. I can usually make out my posters and lightswitch and stuff, but this time I couldn't. I didn't think much of it and laid down and shut off the tv. I heard 3 thumps in my ear, 3 different times while trying to go to sleep. It seemed strange to me so I turned the tv back on and just turned the volume all the way down. Well as I am laying there with my eyes open glancing at the tv screen I hear 3 heavy taps on the end of my bed parallel to my head. I just disregarded it and continued laying there. Seconds later I heard the same 3 thumps, this time half way down the bed closer to me. Seconds later I heard the thumps on my pillow. I instantly wanted to sit up but I couldn't. Then I felt something brush against my hair. I wanted to yell but I couldn't make a sound no matter how hard I tried. Then it got even weirder. It felt as though someone or something was holding me up by my head slowly. My head was lifting up. I could not feel any hands, it was more of a force. My head then started being shook profusely like that in a horror movie, back and forth. At that same time my right arm was slowly lifting up. It was like half of my body was beginning to float. I was horrified, I trie

Should I leave home?

I will be 20 in 2 months. I would like to move from tx to mi with my sister. I am so scared to move that far that its killing me. Its my pops that got me felling this way. My dog ate chocolate covered strawberries? Help asap?

My dog is about 110 pounds and ate my mom's valentine's day present, or at least half of it. they were milk chocolate covered strawberries and he had about 4 or 5. I know milk chocolate isn't nearly as toxic as dark chocolate, but should I take him to the vet? He's had chocolate before and nothing happened. The total amount of chocolate he ingested was probably no more than 1 pound, since most of it was the strawberries. Advice? Is this an emergency?

Any after effects after Fibroid removal? ?

First, are you in a position to get a 2nd opinion? I had a 6 cm fibroid removed 4 months ago, also attached to the uterus by a "stem". My GYN was able to remove all of it lly (it was attached inside the uterus, not on the abdominal(exterior) side). She did a complete D&C, removed all the uterine lining as well as the fibroid; I am doing GREAT!. No pain, no heavy periods, etc. I will have an ultrasound in a couple of months to make sure she got it all. She said if she left even a tiny part of the fibroid, it would grow again. Even at my age (48), she did not want to remove the uterus. She did tell me if the uterus was removed & the ovaries remained intact, it would not create menopause. The hormone levels are controlled by the ovaries. However, removal of the uterus would be "major surgery" rather than "outpatient surgery", and she didn't feel it necessary. She is a very proactive doctor who always puts her patients first. As long as the fibroid was removed I would be healthy, which I am. Good luck to you, try to get a 2nd opinion if you can. When do i start college applications?

Sadly, CollegeBoard, the people in charge of the SATs only send scores to 4 schools(at least the used to) that you specified. Additional schools came at a fee. And yes the school will only accept the score from them NOT you. Letters of recommendation whether or not they are required are helpful and I suggest you get as many as you can. Your guidance counselor should be helpful with sending out your transcript and other items needed by schools. You should start the application process and drafting an essay as soon as possible so you can be ready to go when the deadlines roll around but you shouldn't freak out and try to do it all right this second. You seem to have some time, but use it wisely and do not wait until the night before the deadline. I strongly suggest sitting down with your guidance counselor to get things cleared up. Good luck!

Let me start off by explaining things. I had a best friend named Brian, and we had been friends since childhood. He started dating a girl named Alex and I was really happy for him. I had become friends with Alex. Then I found out from Alex that Brian had been cheating on her for the past year with another girl and Brian never told me anything about it. Well anyways after a year of suspicion Alex confirmed the truth and they tried to work things out. They broke up for awhile and got back together one last time. Brian told me that while they were broken up he messed around with Miranda but he didn't think he did anything wrong because they were broken up but he told me that Alex wasn't aware of it. He also did not know that I knew about the cheating. I had known for over two years and he still hadn't told me. Well they broke up for good and then Alex was just talking to me and telling that Brian had confessed everything to her about Miranda and so I umed that he told her that he had messed around with her during their last break period and so I asked her about that he she got furious and said she didn't know. I was thinking oh crap. Well I told her not to tell him because I didn't want to get involved but she told me she had to confront him. She told him that she never wanted to hear from him again. Then he proceeded to blame me for everything and basically said that I betrayed him and that we weren't on speaking terms anymore. He said that he didn't consider me his best friend right now and he wasn't sure if he even considered me a friend. Then he started accusing me of trying to steal his girlfriend. This happened March of this year and I did not hear from him until May. Alex confronted me during this period and all of a sudden Brian came back into the picture after Alex told him once again that she wanted nothing to do with him. He claimed that me and him are best friends again and he wanted me to stop talking to Alex (as a friend he had no knowledge of anything else). I told him that I would not do that because I felt it would be wrong to turn my back on her when he had turned his back on me. Well by telling him that he basically stopped ociated with me. It is now December and me and him have not been on good terms since March and he only speak with each other if we run into each other in public. Alex wants to date me but I was wondering if I should. I like her a lot and I had no feelings for her prior to finding out how Brian treated her so its not like I wanted to steal her from him. Because she expressed interest at the end of 2007 but I didn't do it because I did not want to betray a friend. Me and Alex got really close during all of this time that I have not been ociating with Brian. Part of me is worried that it could cause some major problems if I were to date her. I do like her a lot and she has feelings for me but I am wondering if I should or would it be a betrayal to Brian. Home made water filters & brita?

ok Im maken a home made water filter for tap water..i bought Activated carbon for aquariums, but when i compared it to brita water filter carbon, it seems the brita has much smaller granulated carbon, plus something added in, like tiny white pebbles, i don't know what that is.. i am thinking to use two kinds of carbon, one to get rid of bigger material in water (microscopic size) and one kind to be able to absorb even smaller micron size material... How can i gain weight in muscle?

how do i gain weight in muscle, when i have already lost at least 5 pounds in fat due to starting kickboxing over 9 months ago, i know that fat has to be lost first. i don't use the gym regularly and i don't like fish or eggs which provide protein, and don't really have a workout apart from doing dumbells,pressups and situps and obviously kickboxing sessions, however i am sure i've put on a few punds in muscle, as i can see and feel the difference. i'm 17, 5ft 6 and weight 8st and between 8 and 10 pounds, and am of slim build. i'd rather avoid expensive protein shakes, although diet reccomendations would be of use, thanks

Without knowing anything about your talent level, I always say that if you have the means to follow your dream then nothing should stop you. My parents spent a lot of money on my private education growing up, and even though I ended up at a state college and am still only earning entry-level wages they would say it was worth the money. Is this a sign of depression?

I'm a college freshmen and recently I've been suffering from what seem like signs of depression. Starting in the last month or so I've lost all hope for everything. It started off with me telling myself that I wouldn't get involved with guys because of my intense fear of rejection, and I was very bitter and cynical towards all of my guy friends when I didn't want to be or didn't mean it. I was fine though even then. Just recently, in the past few weeks, I have suddenly become emotionally and physically exhausted. I feel like I never get enough sleep. I end up taking three or four hour naps during the day and then wake up at around seven and sleep on and off all through the night. I'm too sluggish and lazy to get to cl in the morning and I have no drive to do anything anymore. I don't workout anymore. Even just thinking about it makes me cringe. I'm moody and irritable and have noticed signs of self-loathing. I'm not content with my body image anymore and often have thoughts of doing dangerous things like eating incorrectly (which has been a flaw of mine in the past that I just recently got past). I can hardly concentrate in cl and am failing two simple cles. When I'm not drinking alcohol at parties on the weekends I'm always wishing I was, because thats the only time I don't feel so bad. The weird thing is, I can got like this for days and days, all upset and tired, then some days I can be happy again like nothing happened. Recently, though, my bad mood is not going away and all I can do is sleep. What is going on?? Any help is appreciated...thanks.

Why is my cat attacking me?

Your cat is a victim to re-directed aggression. When she sees another cat outside the window, she gets angry because she feels threatened. Once they are threatened they attack the nearest animal, whether it be human or another cat, etc. Re-directed aggression will sometimes become habitual. Your cat develops a very territorial attitude. This has already started to happen with your cat. What you need to do is develop trust. Give her confidence. Leave her alone in a room with her litter box and what ever she sleeps in. Then at feeding time place food in a bowl in front of her. Remain there. If she attacks, immediately recoil. If she doesn't slowly back from the room. Repeat this for 2 weeks. After it gets to know your presence, try to pet her but repeat the previous for 2 weeks. Once your absolutely sure you have her confidence. Put food in your hand and go near her. If she attacks, this can get dangerous. So, where a safety glove. These can be bought at a pet store. Do this for 2 weeks. If your cat sees another cat, it will still become angry, just be sure to back away. But, this process of trust will not allow the cat to become completely territorial and violent toward you like the last two incidents. I also recommend going to the vet to see if there is something we can do to end your cat's re-directed aggression. Also remember, the best thing to do is relax. Cats, dogs, and horses can sense fear. Once they sense fear, they will panic.

Public school or private school?

I have to make a decision on whether i continue to go to the private school i'm at or transfer to the public school. i'm halfway through my sopre year. i went to public school all my life until highschool started. i've absolutely despised the private school i'm at, but my parents really want me there. i have like zero friends there and i don't fit in and i hate the atmosphere and all of that. but if i switch to the public school i'll have to take a bit of summer school because the schedule change will mess up some of my cles. all my friends are at the public school and i actually fit in there and i like the people there. but if i go there, my parents (although they say they won't do this) will probably start treating me differently. they really want me at the private school, but i'm really unhappy there. i'm a really good student so i should be fine academically either way, although the college scheduling is better at the private school. i like the athletics a lot better at the public school. Would a perm work for my hair?

I really want to get my hair permed so i can have hair like Bethany Galleoti (haley james scott from one tree hill). However, i swim year round / six days a week. My hair dresser says it will be a waste or money because it won't hold because of the chlorine. My hair lady also said that even if i get my hair permed i will still have to curl it every morning for it to be curly, because the perm will only add "body and wave." I don't understand why. (I am VERY hair illiterate.) Why can i not get a perm that makes my hair curly like i want it? Just to give everyone an idea of my hair type, it's about 18 in long. Not thick but not super thing, and straight unless i sleep on it wet.

34 weeks pregnant, lots of questions!?

i had the same exact thing with the whole clear liquid that wasnt urine or ambniotic. i went to labor and delivery and they said i was fine also. then right after the contractions started. im scheduled to be induced in 6 days and everything is fine over here. youll be okay i went into labor 2 times in 1 week and they had to stop it. just relax nothings wrong.

Hey. I can ollie while moving, shuvit, powerslide, sort of ollie over stuff, and boneless. I've been trying kickflips for a long time and can't really land with feet. Sometimes, rarely it will go in front of me, or to the side, but most of the time I'll land with my right foot. I'm regular footed just so u know. I really want to land kickflips. They look to expand their sites on the US, and set their sites on a coup of our government. They militarize and come for us, but secretly and covertly. I do not believe this to be the case now, rather they just want us out of their way so they can take back the holy land they are so hell bent on taking (and have been fighting over for the past 2000 years). Do we fight them then, or when? How will we know when we've reached the point where they are happy with us - yet think we should join their religion and adhere to their values.

Craftsman 917.270732 B&S17HP (311707-0132-E3) 42" lawn tractor?

Need help with switches! (And a lot more). After much toil, trouble and strife (and about 5 sheared flywheel keys- parts of which were in the crankshaft!), I have the engine/motor on this thing running. I purchased all new switches, and I need to know exactly where they are suppose to go on this machine. (With the exception of the seat switch). When the switches are depressed, the engine starts and runs. But when they (or any one of them) is/are released, the engine dies. This is true of both the clutch and the attachment clutch switches. The attachment clutch switch is in the bracket on the backside of the dash, where it (the old one) was when I started. Right now it is held down only by the weight of the attachment clutch lever, which is only attached to the bracket - no cable is currently hooked up to it. The clutch switch I now have in the chis, on the right side ( from the back/or when sitting on ) the tractor - the clutch pedal is on the opposite (left) side. This was cable-tied shut, laying on top the chis (right side) when I started. I don't understand how the switches work (although I do understand their purpose) - which is also part of the problem. Seems to me there is supposed to be a spring somewhere, to keep it closed? The owners manual only shows these switches on the wiring diagram page, but not where they actually attach on the mower. Even though this tractor was given to me, If I had it to do over again, I would have junked it and bought a JD! I now have over $400 into this, and I feel I am "stuck" with it. And I certainly don't want to buy another Craftsman headache! I would greatly appreciate any and all advise on how to install these switches properly, and avoid byping them altogether (which may very well come soon!) Will leave the brake issue for later, as I can't yet make the bloody thing move, without pushing it!

I want to do a low carb high protein diet but don't want to do it Atkins style, ie. risk my health by going into ketosis. Is it possible to still lose weight if I eat a small amount of carbs each day, eg. fruit, rice, wholewheat pasta, along side the high protein stuff? ATX power supply help!!!?
